The same document, on both screens, at the same time.
Your client types an answer and it appears on your screen moments later. Documents you keep together update for both of you, and teammates see each other's cursors. Nobody refreshes, nobody re-sends.
Nothing to press
- 01
Send the form
Share a link or a QR code, or put the form in the client's portal.
- 02
They fill it in
Every answer saves as it's typed. There's no Save button to forget, on their side or yours.
- 03
You see it happen
Open their copy and the answers appear as they type. When they submit, you get a notification.
One document, wherever it's open
Answers as they're typed
Open a client's form while they fill it in and each answer appears within about a second — no refreshing.
One copy for both of you
For a document you keep together, there's a single shared copy: your client fills in their fields while you edit the rest, and each of you sees the other's changes.
Teammates side by side
Colleagues in the same document see each other's cursors, named and colour-coded, and write together without overwriting each other.
Saved as you go
Every change is saved as it's made, for you and your client. Your toolbar shows when your work is saved.
Lock it when it's final
Lock a document and it turns read-only on your client's screen straight away — for both of you, until you unlock it.
Notified when it matters
You get a notification when a client submits, and an email too unless you switch it off in Settings.
Live, and for whom
| You and your client | You and your team | |
|---|---|---|
| Answers and edits appear live | Yes | Yes |
| Named cursors | No | Yes |
| A lock applies at once | Yes | Yes |
Your client sees what you change, not where you're typing — named cursors are shown between teammates.
How live is live
A form in progress is its own copy
Each form someone fills in is a copy of the version you published. Edit the template and publish again, and new visitors get the change — forms already under way keep the version they started with.
Submitting doesn't lock a form
A client can reopen their form, change an answer and submit again. When you want it final, lock it.
Live happens in the open document
Answers stream into the document you have open. Lists of documents catch up when you reload them.
Questions about working live
Can I see a client's answers before they submit?
Can my client and I edit the same document at once?
Will my client see my cursor?
If I change the template, do people filling it in see the change?
Do I need to press Save?
