Every version of every client document, kept for you.

Pocper saves as you type, and every save becomes part of the document's history — who saved it, when, and exactly what the document said. Open any version, download it as a PDF, or copy it into a new document.

How it works

A record you never have to keep

  1. 01

    Just work

There's no Save button. Every change — yours, your team's, your client's — is saved as it's made.

  2. 02

    Open the history

From the document's menu, open Paper History: every version, newest first, with who saved it and when.

  3. 03

    Look back, print or copy

Pick a version to see the document exactly as it was, then download it as a PDF or clone it into a new document.

What it keeps

The whole story of a document

  • Who and when, on every version

Each version shows when it was saved and by whom: teammates by name, changes that came in through a link marked with that link, anonymous ones as anonymous.

  • Milestones you can spot

Versions are tagged Initial, Submitted and Signed, so the moment a form came in or a signature landed is easy to find.

  • Exactly as it was

Any version opens read-only — the whole document, answers and signatures included, as it stood at that moment.

  • Any version as a PDF

Download a past version as a PDF for your records, or for anyone who asks what the document said then.

  • Clone a version

Start a new document from any past version. The original, and its history, stay exactly as they were.

  • On every plan

Version history works the same on Free and Plus.

Good to know

What history is — and isn't

  • For looking back, not rolling back

History is read-only. To carry on from an older version, clone it into a new document — the original is never overwritten.

  • Who and when, not what changed

Each version shows the whole document as it was; the changes between two versions aren't highlighted.

  • Deleting a document deletes its history

History lives with the document. Download what you need to keep before you delete one.

  • Kept for client documents

Every client document has a history. Templates don't have a history view.

FAQ

Questions about version history

Can I restore an old version?
Not in place — history is read-only. Open the version you need and clone it into a new document, or download it as a PDF. The original and its history are never overwritten.
Does history show who made each change?
It shows who saved each version: your teammates by name, and changes that came in through a share link marked with that link — or as anonymous. It doesn't highlight what changed between two versions.
Are my client's answers in the history too?
Yes. Answers typed through a share link or the client portal are saved into the same history, marked with the link they came through or as anonymous, rather than with the client's name.
Can my client see the history?
No. Version history is visible to your team only.
Is version history on the Free plan?
Yes, on Free and Plus alike. Cloning a version creates a new document, which counts toward the Free plan's limit of 20 papers.
