Studio Service & Pricing Guide

Everything we offer, what it costs, and how a session actually runs from booking to gallery. There is nothing to fill in or send back — keep this for reference. Prices are indicative and confirmed in writing when you book.

Section 1 — Session Types

Portrait

One or two people, studio or outdoor, roughly one hour of shooting
Two to three outfit or backdrop changes, posing guided throughout
Typically 25–40 finished images delivered

Family

Up to six people included; extra family members can be added
Group shots plus individual and pairing combinations
Paced around the youngest child; well-behaved pets are welcome

Newborn

Best booked for days 5–14, though we shoot older babies happily
Two to three hours allowed, led entirely by the baby — feeding and settling breaks included
Studio kept warm; all wraps, props and blankets provided

Branding & headshots

Clean-background headshots plus lifestyle frames for web and social use
Shot list agreed in advance, sized and cropped for the platforms you name
Commercial licence included for the client’s own marketing

Events

Birthdays, corporate functions, ceremonies and celebrations, charged by the hour
Documentary coverage with set-piece group shots where requested
A second photographer is recommended above 80 guests

Section 3 — Add-Ons

Section 4 — Editing & Retouching Standards

Every delivered image is colour-corrected, exposure-balanced, straightened and cropped.
Standard retouching removes temporary blemishes, stray hairs and small distractions.
We do not reshape bodies or faces as a matter of course. Ask if you want it and we will discuss it honestly.
Advanced work — head swaps, background replacement, composites — is quoted separately.
Unedited or RAW files are not released; the edit is part of the work you are commissioning.

Section 5 — Turnaround

Sneak-peek images: 2–3 working days after the session.
Full gallery: 10–15 working days for portrait and family, 3 weeks for events and branding.
Album design proof: 2 weeks after your image selection is final.
Prints and wall art: 7–14 days from the lab once the order is approved.

Peak season (October to December) can add a week. We will tell you before you book, not afterwards.

Section 6 — Prints, Albums & Wall Art

All printing goes through a professional lab — not a consumer print service.
Fine-art paper and archival inks rated for 75+ years without noticeable fading.
Albums are lay-flat with thick pages and a linen or leather cover, 20 to 60 sides.
Wall art in framed print, canvas, acrylic and metal, from 8×10 up to 40×60 inches.
Every print is colour-proofed against our calibrated screens so what you see is what arrives.

Section 7 — Booking, Deposits & Rescheduling

A date is held only once the booking agreement is signed and the deposit has cleared.
Deposit is 30% of the session fee and is non-refundable; the balance is due on the session day.
Reschedule free of charge with more than 7 days’ notice; inside 7 days the deposit is forfeited.
Illness and family emergencies are handled humanely — tell us and we will move the date.
Bad weather on an outdoor shoot: we decide together the morning of, and reschedule at no cost.

Section 8 — Galleries, Archives & Backups

Your online gallery stays open for 90 days from delivery — download everything within that window.
Gallery reactivation after it closes: a small fee covers re-hosting.
We keep finished images archived for 12 months across two separate backups, one of them off-site.
After 12 months files may be deleted. Please keep your own copy in at least two places.

Section 9 — Copyright & Image Use

The studio retains copyright in all images, as is standard in photography.
You receive a personal-use licence: print, share, and post freely for non-commercial purposes.
Please do not apply filters or crops that materially alter an image before posting it.
Commercial and advertising use requires a separate licence, quoted on request.
We only use your images in our portfolio if your signed release permits it — and you can withdraw that at any time.

Section 10 — Travel & Location Fees

No travel charge within 30 km of the studio.
30–100 km: a flat travel fee per session.
Beyond 100 km, or anything needing an overnight stay: quoted individually before booking.
Venue permits, park fees and paid parking are passed on at cost with the receipt attached.

This guide is general information about our studio. The figures that bind us are the ones written into your signed booking agreement. Ask us anything before you book — we would rather answer ten questions than have one surprise.
