Court Hire Rates & Venue Guide
Everything you need to know before you book: what the floor costs, what the building offers, and what we expect on court. There is nothing to fill in or send back — keep this for reference. Rates shown are indicative; the figures that bind us are the ones on your confirmed booking.
Off-peak is weekdays before 5pm. Peak is weekdays from 5pm to close. Weekend rates apply all day Saturday and Sunday.

Section 2 — League & Block Booking Discounts
- Ten-hour prepaid block: 10% off the applicable hourly rate, valid twelve months.
- Standing weekly slot booked for a full term: 15% off, invoiced monthly.
- League hire of four or more consecutive hours: 20% off, court set to match configuration at no extra charge.
- Registered junior clubs and school programmes: off-peak rate applied at any time of day.
- Discounts do not stack; where more than one applies you get the better of the two.
Section 3 — Court Specifications
- Surface: sprung maple hardwood, resealed annually; a cushioned modular court is available in the second hall.
- Playing area: 28 m by 15 m full-size international markings, with a two-metre run-off on all sides.
- Hoops: eight electrically adjustable rings, 2.60 m to 3.05 m, breakaway rims, glass backboards.
- Divider curtain splits the hall into two independent half courts for cross-court play.
- Scoreboard with 24-second shot clock, horn and controller at the scorer’s table.
- Lighting: LED, glare-free, with a training level and a brighter match level selected at the desk.
- Ventilation and heating run automatically; the hall holds roughly 20°C year round.
Section 4 — Opening Hours
- Four changing rooms with hot showers, benches and coin-free day lockers.
- Accessible changing room and step-free access from the car park to the court.
- Retractable spectator seating for 180, opened on request for league fixtures.
- Free parking for 40 cars plus two coach bays; overflow parking across the road after 18:00.
- Water refill stations courtside, vending in the foyer, café open weekends.
- Defibrillator in the foyer, first-aid kit at the scorer’s table, trained first-aider on site during staffed hours.
- Free visitor wi-fi throughout the building.
Section 6 — Equipment on Loan
Included with every booking, collected from and returned to the desk:
- Match balls in sizes 5, 6 and 7, plus a ball cart of training balls.
- Two sets of reversible bibs, training cones and agility ladders.
- Scoreboard and shot-clock controller, whistle and coaching whiteboard.
- Team benches, scorer’s table and chairs set out on request.
Chargeable extras, booked in advance: shooting machine, portable PA system, venue live-stream package and match officials.
- Clean, non-marking indoor shoes only. Outdoor soles damage the seal and will be turned away.
- No hanging on the rim and no dunking on lowered hoops. Damage is charged at cost.
- Water only on the playing surface. Food, sports drinks and chewing gum stay in the foyer.
- Under-16 groups must have a named adult supervisor present for the whole session.
- Your slot includes setting up and clearing away — be off the floor by the end of the hour.
- Report any damage or injury to the desk before you leave, however minor.
- Abuse of staff, officials or other hirers ends the session immediately with no refund.
Section 8 — Cancellations & No-Shows
- Cancel more than 48 hours ahead and the session is refunded or moved in full, free of charge.
- Between 48 and 24 hours, half the hire fee is retained; the balance can be credited against a future booking.
- Inside 24 hours, the full fee stands. We will always try to resell the slot and credit you if we do.
- A no-show is charged in full. Three no-shows in a season put a standing slot at risk.
- If we have to close the hall — a burst pipe, a power cut, a safety issue — you are refunded in full or rebooked, your choice.
Section 9 — Reaching Us on Game Day
- The front desk is staffed from opening until the last slot begins — that is the fastest route to anything urgent.
- For late-evening slots, the duty phone number is posted at the entrance and on your booking confirmation.
- Running late? Call ahead. We hold the court for fifteen minutes; after that it may be released.
- Booking changes, invoices and deposit queries are handled by email within one business day.
