Engagement Letter & E-File Authorization
This letter confirms the terms under which our firm will prepare your tax return. Please read each section carefully, complete the client details, and sign at the bottom. Our engagement will not begin until this letter is signed and any agreed retainer is paid.

Section 2 — Scope of Services
Our services are limited to preparation of the returns you tick below for the tax year shown. We will not audit or verify your data; we will rely on the information you provide. Any service not listed here, including representation in an IRS or state examination, is a separate engagement that requires a written addendum.

Invoices are due within 15 days. Past-due balances accrue interest at 1% per month. Work may be paused if payment is not current. Our fee does not include responding to IRS or state notices unrelated to our preparation.

Section 5 — Electronic Filing Authorization (Form 8879)
By ticking the boxes below, you authorise our firm, as your Electronic Return Originator (ERO), to transmit your return to the IRS and applicable state tax authorities. You confirm the return has been reviewed and that entries are correct and complete. A separate Form 8879 will be provided for your physical or electronic signature before transmission.
Section 6 — Privacy, Records & Termination
We will not disclose your information to any third party without your written consent, except as required by law or professional regulation (IRC §7216). Working papers are the property of the firm. Either party may terminate this engagement in writing; fees for work performed through the termination date remain due.
