Get started with PocperThis agreement sets out the terms of an ongoing engagement between the private chef or catering service ("Chef") and the client ("Client"). It becomes effective only when BOTH parties have signed below. The Chef drafts and signs first, then shares this document with the Client for review and countersignature — either in-app, or by printing, signing, and uploading a scanned copy.
Chef (name / business name):
Client (full legal name):

Engagement start date:
Initial term:
During the term, the Chef will provide the following services on the agreed schedule:
Service | Frequency | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Menus are planned collaboratively and may vary by season and availability. Any service not listed above is out of scope and handled under Section 5 (Additional Requests).
I have read and agree to the scope of services in this section.
Item | Amount | Billing cycle |
|---|---|---|
Service fee | ||
Groceries & ingredients (estimate) | ||
Additional event or extra guests (per head) | ||
Late payment interest |
Invoices are issued at the start of each billing cycle and are due within 14 days of receipt. Grocery costs are passed through at actual cost against the estimate above, with receipts available on request. The service fee reserves the Chef’s availability for the Client and is payable regardless of individual meals used.
I have read and agree to the fee and payment terms in this section.
The Chef follows safe food handling practices and takes reasonable care to accommodate the dietary needs and allergies disclosed by the Client. The Client is responsible for disclosing all known allergies and restrictions of every guest in advance and for keeping the Chef informed of any changes. Kitchens are shared environments and the Chef cannot guarantee an allergen-free preparation.
Known allergies and dietary restrictions to be observed throughout the term:
I understand my responsibility to disclose all allergies and that a fully allergen-free kitchen cannot be guaranteed.
Requests outside the scope in Section 2 — extra events, larger guest counts, or special occasions — require a separate written estimate approved by the Client before work begins, billed at the rates in Section 3. Menu adjustments requested with reasonable notice are accommodated where practical. The Chef may decline requests that conflict with reserved commitments or food safety.
I understand how additional requests and changes are handled and billed.
A scheduled meal or event cancelled with at least 72 hours’ notice may be rescheduled at no charge, subject to availability. Cancellations with shorter notice are charged for ingredients already purchased plus a portion of the service fee reflecting reserved time. No-shows are charged in full. The Chef will make reasonable efforts to reschedule in the event of illness or emergency on either side.
I have read and agree to the cancellation and rescheduling terms in this section.
The Client provides safe access to a working kitchen and equipment as agreed. The Chef takes reasonable care of the Client’s property and is responsible for damage caused by the Chef’s negligence. The Client is responsible for the condition and safety of the premises and equipment. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, and each party’s liability is limited to the fees paid under this agreement, except where liability cannot be limited by law.
I have read and agree to the liability, insurance, and kitchen-use terms in this section.
After the initial term, this agreement renews automatically for successive periods of the same length unless either party gives written notice of non-renewal at least 30 days before the current period ends. Either party may terminate for material breach that remains uncured 14 days after written notice. On termination, the Client pays for all services performed and ingredients purchased through the effective termination date.
I have read and agree to the termination and renewal terms in this section.
I have read and understood each section of this agreement.
I have had the opportunity to ask questions and seek independent advice.
I consent to electronic signatures having the same legal effect as handwritten signatures.
I am authorized to enter into this agreement on behalf of the party named above.
