Get started with PocperThis agreement sets out the terms on which the law firm ("Firm") will provide ongoing legal services to the client ("Client"). The attorney-client relationship begins only when BOTH parties have signed below and any required initial deposit has been received. The Firm completes the scope and fee tables and signs first, then shares this document with the Client for review and countersignature — either in-app, or by printing, signing, and uploading a scanned copy.

Invoices are issued at the start of each billing cycle and are due within 14 days of receipt. Costs and disbursements (filing fees, expert witnesses, courier, copying) are billed separately. The retainer fee is payable in exchange for the Firm reserving capacity for the Client, whether or not the full retained scope is used.

The initial deposit shown in Section 3 is held in the Firm’s client trust account and drawn against as invoices are issued. The Client agrees to replenish the deposit to the agreed balance on request. Any unearned portion is refunded at the conclusion of the engagement.

Communications between the Client and the Firm made for the purpose of seeking legal advice are protected by the attorney-client privilege and kept strictly confidential. The Client agrees not to share privileged communications with third parties, as doing so may waive the privilege. The Firm will not disclose Client information except as authorized by the Client, as required by law or court order, or as necessary to defend the Firm in a fee or malpractice claim.

After the initial term, this agreement renews automatically for successive periods of the same length unless either party gives written notice of non-renewal at least 30 days before the current period ends. The Client may terminate at any time by written notice. The Firm may withdraw for any reason permitted under the applicable rules of professional conduct, including non-payment. On termination, the Client pays for all services rendered and costs advanced through the effective date, and the Firm returns the Client file and any unearned deposit.

The Firm has made no promise or guarantee regarding the outcome of any matter. Any statements about potential results reflect professional judgment of the facts currently known and are not warranties.
